An independent group of scientists calling themselves "Climate central" have released a worrying new interactive tool, showing which parts of the country will be below sea level by 2100.
Swansea, Port-Talbert and Cardiff will be hit hard by climate change, but worryingly, this global disaster that effects the entire planet will also affect us here in cardigan!
Almost the entire town centre, hospital and castle will be below the waves, widening the mouth of the Teifi drastically. On the other side of the river, the wetlands and wildlife centre will also be affected, destroying a protected wildlife habitat and the breeding ground for many species of birds.
Climate Central have almost 800 scientists on board, and are able to assess coastline threats on a global scale. they claim that governments, big businesses, and academics have been making use of their research, and that they are partnered with news organisations nationwide.
