Thats right! we here at the CRM project arent afraid to dip our toes into the paranormal. Wales has a long history of otherworldly sightings, and if its going on in ceredigion we're gonna investigate it.
My source met me in her home to discuss her report, and as my first paranormal story it interested me greatly.
Mrs C, who wishes to remain anonymous, was driving home two weeks ago when the event occurred. The winding late night backroads set close with hedges and overhanging oaks made the perfect setting for an event beyond the everyday commute. She describes the figure she saw that night quite clearly to me. She rounded a corner and her headlights illuminated a blurred image. Male and tall, but hard to distinguish, as though he were made of cobwebs collected into human shape. She was travelling slowly, as the roads were winding and full of blind corners, and so was able to stare for several seconds as her car passed.
Initial suprise did not give way to fear however, and after she passed, she felt a calm unthreatening presence from it. she slowed, and in the red glow from her brake lights, she saw it turn to watch the car, before fading from view.
Sitting in her clean living room sipping her tea and holding my third biscuit, I still couldnt help but feel a chill.
"You may call me bonkers i'm sure" said she quietly, "but I saw something that night that I feel lucky to have seen. and I doubt many others ever will".
The calm determined gaze she gave into her teacup, as if looking below the surface and into the vivid memory, was enough to convince me.
Naturally I couldnt leave the story there, so I suggested we head to the spot where the sighting occurred. The time was earlier than when her previous sighting happened, but the evenings now are dark, and I was hopeful.
We took her car, and travelled the unlit lanes in relative silence until we began to aproach.
"Here's where i saw him. on this bend." We drove slowly past, and stopped. there were no streetlights. the overgrown hedges reached into the path, and the long branches above stretched down to meet them. I can report that I personally saw no ghost. neither did Mrs C that night. but on the night of her story?
well who can say.
